Quick answers about how Rabbithole works. Can't find yours? [Send us a note](https://rabbithole.pro/feedback).

## Courses and lessons

- Which course should I start with?

There are three:

- **Learn to use AI**: new to AI? Use it well at work and at home, no coding needed.
- **Become an AI engineer**: for people who write code, how models work and how to build with them.
- **Explore AI Platforms**: look up one AI tool, A to Z, and learn to use it.

When you start, you can begin from scratch or take a short quiz to find your level. You can switch course any time in **Settings › Courses**.

- How does a lesson work?

Each lesson teaches one idea in a few short cards, then asks you about it: pick the right answer, fill in a blank or put steps in order. Get one wrong and it comes back at the end of the lesson, once.

Every lesson is written from an approved list of sources: official documentation, research papers, and courses and talks by named researchers. Tap the book icon in a lesson to see the sources behind that card, or tap **WHY** after an answer to see the source behind it.

- What is the practice terminal?

Some practice asks you to type a real command, like git add todo.txt, into a practice terminal. It is a simulation inside the app: nothing runs on your phone or touches your files.

Stuck? Tap **Hint**: each step has a few, and the last one shows the answer. You can also skip a step.

## Energy

- What is energy?

You have up to 25 energy. Each answer you check uses 1, right or wrong, and every 5 right answers in a row gives 1 back.

Energy refills on its own: 1 point every 12 minutes, so an empty tank is full again in 5 hours.

- I'm out of energy. What can I do?

Wait for it to refill, or refill it in the shop with carrots. With Rabbithole Pro your energy never runs out.

- What are carrots?

Carrots are the app's currency. You earn them from the chests on your path and from quest chests, and spend them in the shop on energy refills, streak freezes and Double XP (twice the XP for 15 minutes). Carrots can't be bought or cashed out.

## Streaks and streak freezes

- How does my streak count?

A day counts toward your streak when you answer at least one exercise correctly that day. Miss a day and the streak starts again, unless a streak freeze covers it.

- How do streak freezes work?

You can hold up to 2 streak freezes; buy them in the shop with carrots. If you miss a day, an equipped freeze covers it automatically the next time you open the app, one freeze per missed day. A frozen day keeps your streak going but doesn't add to it.

## Rabbithole Pro

- What does Pro include?

Unlimited energy, unlimited practice, and a review of your mistakes in the Practice tab. Learning stays free without it.

- What plans are there?

A yearly Individual plan and a yearly Family plan (for up to 6 people), both with a 7-day free trial, and a monthly Individual plan with no trial. The app shows each price in your currency before you subscribe.

- How do I cancel, or get a refund?

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple, so they are managed in your Apple account: open the **Settings** app on your iPhone, tap your name, then **Subscriptions**, and choose Rabbithole. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged again. If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged.

Refunds are handled by Apple at [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com).

- I bought Pro but the app doesn't show it.

Go to **Settings › Restore purchases** in the app while signed in to the same Apple account you used to subscribe.

## Reminders and the widget

- How do I change or turn off reminders?

In **Settings › Notifications** you can turn reminders on or off and pick the time (7:00 pm unless you change it). Reminders only arrive if you allowed notifications for Rabbithole.

- What reminders will I get?
- A daily nudge at your time, if you haven't learned yet that day.
- A later "streak at risk" note (9:30 pm, or later if your reminder is late), only when today isn't done and no streak freeze would cover it. Never after 11:00 pm.
- After a break, a few "come back" notes that space out and then stop.

Once you've learned that day, the rest of that day's reminders are cancelled. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; we don't send push notifications.

- Is there a home screen widget?

Yes. Add the Rabbithole streak widget (small or medium) from your home screen's widget gallery. It shows your streak and turns red in the evening if today still needs a lesson.

## Your account and sync

- Do I need an account?

No. The first time you open the app it creates an anonymous learner account for you, with no name or email, and your progress syncs to it in the background.

- What does creating a profile do?

There are two ways. After your first lesson the app offers to save your progress: sign in with Apple or Google, or add your email (we send a one-time code to confirm it), then pick a name and a username. Or tap **Create profile** in the Friends tab, which asks only for a name and a username.

With a profile, friends can find you by username, follow you and see your XP and streak. Signing in with Apple, Google or your email is what lets you sign in on another phone.

- Can I move my progress to a new phone?

Yes, if you saved your progress with Apple, Google or your email. On the new phone, tap **I already have an account** on the welcome screen and sign in the same way (with an email, we send you a code).

The lessons you finished come back, with the XP for each, along with your profile and the friends you follow. Your streak, carrots, energy and streak freezes come back too. Pro comes back with **Settings › Restore purchases**.

If you never saved your progress, do it on your old phone first (finish a lesson and save your progress when the app asks). If that phone is gone, email us.

- What happens if I sign out?

If you are signed in anonymously, signing out starts you again as a new learner, and the old progress can't be reached from the app any more.

- How do I delete my account or data?

In the app, go to **Settings › Account › Delete account**. It deletes your account, profile, follows and learning history from our servers, and starts the app fresh on your phone. To delete only your public profile, use **Settings › Profile › Delete profile**.

Can't open the app? Email **team@rabbithole.pro** from the address on your profile (or tell us your username) and we'll delete it for you. See our [privacy policy](https://rabbithole.pro/privacy) for what we keep and why.

- How do I report or block someone?

Tap the learner in Friends (search, Following or Followers) or in your league. **Report** asks what's wrong and sends the report to us from the app; they aren't told who reported them. You can also email **team@rabbithole.pro** with their username. We review every report within 24 hours and remove content or accounts that break our [Community Rules](https://rabbithole.pro/rules). **Block** ends any follow between you and hides them from your search, friends and leaderboard; they aren't told.

Changed your mind? Open **Blocked learners** at the foot of your Following or Followers list and tap Unblock.

## Getting the app
